All high school students in grades 9-12 are invited to encounter Christ and their faith through a retreat weekend led by high school youth who have previously attended. The 2021 Spring Antioch Retreat will take place the weekend of March 12-14 at St. Lawerence Church in Lafayette from 7:00 pm Friday through 4:00 pm Sunday.
For more information contact Sue Bayley: 765-404-0753, or sbayley@parish.dol-in.org
We promise you a fun, faith & Christ-filled weekend.
Faith is a journey and anytime we go on a journey, we desire companionship. Encounter groups will foster companionship in a small group setting with 5-10 fellow teens along with 2-3 adult mentors. Guys will meet with guys and girls will meet with girls. Encounter groups will allow teens to form authentic relationships while diving deeper into our faith. Encounter groups will offer mentorship and support from adult leaders.
Encounter Groups meet at the Antioch Annex. We meet every other week on Mondays for guys and Wednesday for girls from 6:30-8:00 pm. Teens must be registered to attend. You only need to register one time for the entire semester.
What is Destination Jesus?
Destination Jesus is a weekend conference-style retreat for high school students. It is a weekend of prayer, games, food, and music, joining with other high school students, priests, seminarians, and nuns from around the Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana.
We are blessed to celebrate our 25th year of Destination Jesus. The theme for the weekend is “Give Me Faith”.
Registration is closed.
Mission Statement & Goals
Destination Jesus is a Catholic retreat that draws young people into a deep and lasting union with Jesus Christ, especially through the sacramental encounter. Opportunity for healing in the Eucharist and Reconciliation allows participants to experience true freedom in God’s mercy. The retreat aims to:
1. Promote knowledge and love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament – the source and summit of the Christian life.
2. Inspire devotion to Mary, the Mother of God.
3. Encourage fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church and the Magisterium.
4. Awaken discernment of Holy Vocations as ordained by God and His Holy Church
Open to all high school students wanting to be a part of a faith community by helping other parishioners, local community outreach, and our local church.
Service hours are available in the categories of: Service that benefits CHURCH; Service that benefits SCHOOL; Direct and Indirect service that benefits the POOR AND NEEDY.
Summer 2019 DATES: August 1, 2nd and 3rd
Registration for our 2021 pilgrimage to the March for Life in Washington DC will open in the fall of 2020.
2019 Details for reference:
This year our trip leaves from St. Elizabeth Seton in Carmel on the evening of January 17. We will be attending a youth rally in the DC area and then making our way over to march. That evening will be staying in a hotel just outside of New Jersey, before we wake up on Saturday to travel to New York City and visit the 9/11 Memorial Museum. We will end our trip with the Saturday night Vigil Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral before returning to Carmel early Sunday Morning.
Cost for the trip is $235 for quad occupancy.
We are only taking two buses on this trip so space is limited. To reserve your spot we must have your waiver and deposit turned in to the office of Catechesis.
We hope you are able to join us on this powerful pilgrimage to stand up for all stages of life!

The National Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC) brings 20,000+ teens together to worship and celebrate our Catholic faith. Throughout this three-day event, held in downtown Indianapolis, you will experience keynote talks, breakout sessions, the best Catholic musicians, and participation in the Sacraments. Service opportunities, a comedy show, and a thematic park full of worldwide Catholic organizations are all there to explore. This is the most popular Catholic youth event in America.
St. Mary Cathedral and St. Lawrence youth group, CTEC, welcomes all those in high school in the 2021-2022 school year to attend. Young adults (18+) are also needed to participate and act as chaperones for the conference. Approximate cost for this trip is $425 with a $100 deposit due by July 21, 2019. There will be an abundance of fundraising beginning in June.
