So Jesus said to them "Amen, amen, I say to you, it was not Moses who gave the bread from heaven; my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is that which comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."
So they said to him "Sir, give us this bread always." Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of like; whoever comes to me will never hunger and whoever believes in me will never thirst."
- The New American Bible, John 6:32-35
Holy Eucharist is our most important sacrament. It is the heart of Catholic life and worship because Christ is truly present as food for us. For adults, please contact Kent Leckrone.
When Jesus instituted the Eucharist he gave a final meaning to the blessing of the bread and the wine and the sacrifice of the Lamb. The Gospels narrate events that anticipated the Eucharist.
The Diocese of Lafayette-in-Indiana policy states that a student must attend Catholic Schools, a parish religious education program, or in Catholic Home School program one year prior to acceptance into the sacramental preparation process. Please contact Cherie Dejoie for more information.
